RX 6800XT Stuttering, but NOTHING is maxed out?

InnocentInstinct

Hello all, first time poster long time reader. I have been having an issue with (I'm assuming at this point) my RX6800XT recently. When I first got it, I didn't have this issue, but recently it has become worse and worse. It is most noticeable in Minecraft Bedrock (in Realms, where render distance is hard locked to 10 chunks), I should be getting ~144fps but it stutters, hitches, and even drops regularly into the TEENS. Very surprising, I've ensured all my drivers are up to date, and have no clue what's going on. I made a recording that will hopefully help (linked below):

System Specs:

Ryzen 5800X

Sapphire Pulse RX6800XT (SAM ON)

3200MHz 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM

Aorus Elite X570 MOBO

Booting off a gen4 NVMe 250GB drive (the game is also installed on this drive)

EVGA 1000GQ PSU

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Do you know if you can do that through adrenaline or do you have to install older drivers manually?

Afaik you have to download them from the website. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-22-5-1

Also I recommend uninstalling the old driver with DDU. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Reinstalling the older drivers seems to have worked. Thanks for the tech tip!
