How loud is an Intel NUC 10 BXNUC10i3FNHN1 Mini Booksize Barebone System Intel Core i3-10110U?

I am looking at options to replace my three year old 9th generation i5 mid tower Ubuntu 22 server an NUC 10 BXNUC10i3FNHN1 i3-10110U so the computer generates less noise and takes up less space.

Does anyone know how loud and if the fan noise has a high or annoying pitch this Intel NUC will be? It will be three feet away from me on a shelf at ear level in my office. I have already done extensive searches on YouTube and websites for information and have not been able to find any information.

The drives will be silent since it will be running an NVME SSD for the boot drive and two SATA SSDs for the data drives.

Can't speak to that model but I have an 7i7BNH as my ESXi 6.7 server with a Win10 Pro, and 2 Ubuntu LTS vMs (PiHole & LAMP Server) and it is virtually silent as is my 6i3SYK running 18.04 LTS as a Minecraft server for the kids. The i3 does get faintly audible when running BOINC at full load but about as audible as a power supply fan at the back of a desktop system heard from the front under heavy load.

A gentle ssssh sound.

The fans in these are both thin blower style ones like found in laptops but with a lower maximum rpm ~2000-2500rpm

0 Regrets.
