pc starts lagging when I close task manger

So just today my pc start lagging after I downloaded something but I got rid of the file and it would not still go away but when I open task manger the lag stops for some reason, please help me

I would recommend Anti-Virus scans at this stage and examining Startup programs.

Some malware pauses itself when Task Manager is detected as being open to evade detection.

Windows Defender should normally be ok, but if it didn't detect it on launch as I assume you have Real-Time enabled by default then may be worth a secondary such as MalwareBytes

It should have automatically downloaded to your Downloads folder, when I tested the link it automatically downloaded

Yeah it did but I keeps disappears from the screen when I open it

We need to try and stop the program launching on your machine to remove it as its seems to be interfering with tools that can remove it.
