Should I Upgrade GTX 1070 Ti to RTX 3070

DaaromMike

I've had my GTX 1070TI for about 4 years now and it's still working fine, but in the last year or so I've run into situations where my performance at 1440p in heavier games (think games like RDR2 and the like) has been less than desirable. The games work but I struggle to get 60FPS on the lower settings.

Because of that I've been looking at GPU upgrades, and while at least GPU's are available and more affordable where I live they are still a good bit above MSRP, but I've managed to find a GIGABYTE RTX 3070 Gaming for around €750. I'm currently debating whether or not it's worth it to get it tho especially with RTX 4000 being around the corner (if the leaks are anything to go by).

I don't really mind waiting on those cards releasing but who knows if there is even going to be stock at launch or if it's going to be another two years before they are actually available to buy.

So, what do you think? Should I get the RTX 3070 now or risk waiting on RTX 4000?

In case it matters: here are the rest of my specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
32GB RAM
750W PSU
