Need 80mm heatpipe cooler ideas please!

AmmoJammo

Does anyone know of an 80mm tower cooler, that will fit an AM4 socket, and can be easily rotated 90 degrees?
Basically, I'm a sadistic b*stard, and as a result, my Flex ATX power supply sits over the edge of the board, and will foul with most/all coolers.

I haven't ruled out cutting fins off the heatsink...

I've spent way too long trying to work out where things can fit, but I'm seriously considering rearranging them again.

Thanks for any ideas!

That's a 92mm on there already is it not?  That's the smallest i could find.  Could you not get a 120mm AIO squeezed in there somewhere?

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

What cpu are you cooling? The main issue here is that your psu is gonna be over the motherboard and very cose something no cooler manufacturer accounts for.

Other than some weak clip on coolers from arctic or cooler master nothing really pops out. But I still see them being a problem because their mounting mechanism sticks out further than the cooler and it looks like your psu will still interfere then.

I was gonna suggest an aio but the mounting issues will persist.

It's an 80mm, It's the smallest I could find 😛 120mm won't fit anywhere.

It's a 5600G. Worst case, I just add a better fan.

I had seen that. I was considering 3d printing a shroud to adapt from a 92mm AIO to the two rear 70mm fans.. but this is a last resort, as I'm still not sure it'll fit..

There are some "server-style" coolers that are rotated by default, like the Dynatron A19, maybe that's an option?

oooo... now to try and find one for an ok price, in Australia... 🥰

I can't really help you with that, I'm not into server coolers, I just know they exist, and I'm sure that's not the only one like this, but now you'll have to figure out yourself where to get one at an acceptable price. You could also use one of those server coolers that are just fins (because the case fans create enough airflow) and strap a fan to it yourself.
