GTX 960 for 85 USD on local used market? Buy?

So my grandpa hooked me up with some money (75 USD in total) for the end of the school year. I am looking for stuff to buy, and when I was browsing Facebook Marketplace, I found a GTX 960 for 85 USD (2000 Kč in my region). It seems to be in very good condition and the price seems reasonable for GTX 960 from MSI. Should I buy it? The only other card comparable to it was a GTX 760 MSI Hawk for 20 USD less.

a gtx 960 is as fast as a 1050 ti 4gb version and the upper limit those should sell for new in retail is in the 110-130 USD range. personally i don't think that in the CZ republic that card is worth that price maybe bargain to take off 10 USD then it could be worth it for some budget esports gaming rig but noting more.

By the way, the card I am using right now is an R9 270 from MSI. I can't find a GTX 960 on any site still selling, let alone a 1050 Ti for the same price (2000CZK), which was always 4500 CZK or so. Should I buy the GTX 960 2GB then?

The R9 270 has about 30% less performance than a 960 and OOF for the price of the 1050 ti. If your current GPU is working fine i would hold on to the money and save it for a better upgrade down the line when cards potentionally get cheaper.

$85 for a 960 is fairly high, especially if it's the 2GB version. If you are in need of a GPU, I'd rather save up that $85 and get a 6500XT for about $170. Will get you much further.

Just want to say, I have an Optiplex 390 that I will modify to fit this GPU. I have an R9 270 in there, but I want just a bit more “oomf”, and I live in a fairly big city where GPUs are harder to come by at this price point and well, performance. Not to mention the Optiplex 390 is only PCIe 2.0. And a GTX 1050 Ti brand new costs 200 dollars- what a ripoff.

If you need a half height GPU just get an RX6400
