God I pray that 64GB is enough for your modded Cities Skylines. Noctua P14 fans for superb airflow to keep it all nice and cool:

Looking for a PC...  My current pc is a chromebook-tier laptop 😅...

My budget is 2500 AUD (1720 USD or 2215 CAD) but I can add 100 AUD if needed. I live in Australia so if you have a pcpartpicker recommendation, please use au.pcpartpicker.com. I will be using modded Cities: Skylines (Look at some videos, it can get pretty rough), Shadow of the tomb raider, Photoshop, Web browsing and Streaming videos (From Disrupt+)

If you could make a part list, then please respond.

This is what id build.

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/M8mm3y

I can't remember exactly but I've heard that city skylines relies heavily on cpu or ram, so I'll go a bit over on both sections

Most cheap cpu coolers would be fine

Cheapest kit of 32gb ram

3080 for its nvenc encoder for livestreaming

Cheap but good case and same for psu

What resolution are you planning on playing? A 3080 is overkill for 1080p. I wouldn't get a 3080 just for its Nvenc encoder.

Well sure a 3080 would be overkill for an 1080p monitor but op haven't stated their monitor resolution, so I assumed 1440p which is about in the middle. I misread a part of what they posted though, it's a bit to late for me. I thought they they were going to stream instead of streaming videos.

Otherwise I don't see a problem with the 3080 choice. If they have a 1080p monitor then a reduction to a 6700xt or 3070 to fit a 1440p monitor in would be more sensible and I would adjust my list accordingly

Either 1080p or 4K. I have 2 different monitors, one 1080p one 4K so...

3080 is about what id put for a 4k monitor, although it's fine if you're wanting to save some money because the cheapest 3070 is a staggering 400 dollars less than the cheapest 3080. Maybe consider a 3070ti?

I would build something by like this:https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/ I know that most people above suggested a 3080 but right now the cheapest 6900 xt is 200 dollars cheaper than the cheapest 3080 both of which are good models, I know it’s over kill for 1080p and maybe even 1440p but is getting a worse gpu at a higher cost really worth it just to make it less overkill? I also added a cheap kit of 32gb 3200mhz ram and one of my favorite cases personally which has amazing air lol flow and comes with 4 rgb fans, the Phanteks p500a mesh rgb. I chose a 12700f over a 12600kf just cause it has more performance cores and is the usual go to cpu for a build of this budget

Yes. RX6800 is right in the middle. At worst it's on the same level as a 3070ti and often gets like 15% more FPS. The 6800XT trades blows with the 3080ti. Mostly varies on the game you play however.

With my most recent GPU upgrade, I went form 10+ years with Nvidia to Radeon and been very impressed so far. Prefer Radeon's ReLive far more than Shadowplay, way better.

Right now I'd say Radeon has far better value for money from RX 6400 all the way up to RX 6900XT if you're looking at 1080-1440p gaming. Only 3080ti - 3090ti might be a tad more justifiable if you need the best 4k performance but looking at how much Nvidia cards cost right now again, I'd rather pay half that for a 6900XT and get 6 less fps.
