Flickering A-RGB arctic p12 pwm pst fans, want to get better fans for my 360mm radiator. Whats good?

MultiGamerClub

Looking to replace my arctic p12 pwm pst a-rgb fans, the a-rgb is bugging out like crazy (only doesnt bug out on blue color.) even with fireware upgrades and researching abit with them.

Looking to replace the 3x on the 360mm radiator.

My case is the Lian Li Dynamic White.

Want to go over to RGB fans to control via iCUE.

(Mostly because i now have 32gb corsair 3600mhz rgb and it sticks out lol... sticks get it? ahh...)

most fans will do fine for cooling on rads as the rad is only like 28mm thicc. so just buy w/e corsair fans you want.

Im not gonna spend 20$ per fan and then 50$ additonal shipping to make the fans rgb, thats really expensive and not the way i want to go.

ML120's seem good if i'll never drop down and look straight into the rad from below.. White LL120's seems okay but not good enough for decent air intake.

The 3x bottom will feed the graphics card and the 3x intake on the sides will feed the rad ontop & gpu.

Currently as it stands this is the setup in the lian li dynamic:

20220623_202635.thumb.jpg.a6f99aed0898c56e5de34a5b44c62c45.jpg

Need to replace the fans with rgb fans, because of the windows and i really like to sync up rgb as of lately.

Also because the top left on the radiator is failing oof xD

Might be the best, but the fans are flickering like crazy and i have no idea how to make them go back to functioning like normal anymore. Gonna rma them to see whats the cause and get new ones if they find the culprit. Dont want to change, but with the fans flickering and i have no good replacement for them, not sure what to do really.

381 in norway, but still expensive i know.

Haha true, i see i can get the 3x pack into norway and there are other local sellers where i live.

And from the shortcircuit video i saw, black on rgb didnt look so bad really.

The best certantly do cost and yes, i guess there will always be a cap/roof when it comes to this.

Really suprised to see one fan of the T30 costing 50$ somewhere there, thats noctua territory haha but actually decent black coloured.

Think i'll see how 9x ML120's do, or get 6x ML120 and 3x T30's for the rad and just slap on that RGB Lux.

errr... No actually.. Maybe buying another controller will fix it..

Maybe im just stupid haha.

I just noticed Nor in your username, usually i spot that but i appear to be blind tonight xD

I'll have to see what other A-RGB controllers are out there, currently using the a-rgb controller that came with my masterliquid 360r liquid cooler.

Do i really not have to replace all fans haha xD (Maybe for the best haha xD)

right. mr thrasher would tell you that CM ARGB controllers are the best (kappa)  🙂
could be the controller. ive had ARGB flicker cuz of a bad connection in the "chain"

i have 5 p12 argbs on a asus controller. and before that on a corsair cmd pro. no problems

No idea if its the best or im not reading /s right, but ive checked the chain 3 times now and i cant seem to find a issue there. Been disassembling the pc and i started it outside the case once.. They all flickered like crazy and it makes me sad.. Only a few modes of the 9 or 11 modes in the a-rgb works.. Honestly really sad, wished i never updated the software and even after removing the software.. it still flickers on the controller -_-

Havent figured out how to downgrade the controllers software or firmware yet.

No.

A1-4=Different ports into the controller.

A4 port is used by the A-RGB cooler/pump for the color to be shown there aswell.

A1 port has Top-mounted 3x PWM PST daisy chained.

A2 port has side-mounted same daisy chained fans.

A3 port has the bottom fans daisy chained aswell.

No.

A1-4=Different ports into the controller.

A4 port is used by the A-RGB cooler/pump for the color to be shown there aswell.

A1 port has Top-mounted 3x PWM PST daisy chained.

A2 port has side-mounted same daisy chained fans.

A3 port has the bottom fans daisy chained aswell.

hmm  and the pump do not flicker?

i cant find the specs of the controller.. but if we assume the specs are very close or the same as the controller that comes with the CM h500m case. then ur 4leds from the limit.  XD

i need to find one of my Cm controllers and se if i can get it to flicker with anything

Think i'll buy a second controller, take the top rad and connect it.. See if they flicker or work as they should.

Then if they still flicker on the other first one.. I'll just swap it.

Thanks haha xd
