Mac mini doesn't have DP ports?????

Jay Brown

What do you mean "why"?

It has HDMI, and two USB 4 ports that support DP alternate mode.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

That is something that you need to decide. Do you want to use HDMI or Display port. If you want display port, you need to live the dongle life and go Thunderbolt to DP. (or a TB to DP cable.)

Yes it does, "miniDP" has been deprecated in its original form for many years, its just done over the Type-C ports not.

Mini DisplayPort was last included on the Mac mini with the 2014 model, and that's primarily because it shared functionality with Thunderbolt. Newer Mac minis have one HDMI port along with USB-C ports, and the M1 mini supports one monitor connected to the USB-C ports. If you want to run dual monitors from the M1 Mac mini without using something like DisplayLink you'll need to connect one of them to the HDMI port.
