HELP ME! B/w CPU, GPU, Motherboard

Budget (including currency):  $I don't know what is the right about to spend

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Witcher 3, GTA 5, Halo, Satisfactory (LOL)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I genuinely don't know, I am lost, should I go budget and save some buck or go for the sweet spot and get a above average PC. Got money for both!

CPU:

Was debating between Ryzen 5600x for $200, or

Intel Core-i7 12700K, (but dint care about overclocking) for $340.

GPU:

Between Asus Tuf 3070 Ti for $700 or

Asus Tuf 3060 Ti for $600

Motherboard chooses:

MSI Z690 MPG Carbon WiFi DDR5 Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard: For $380

ASUS Z690-A Prime DDR5 Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard: For $300 (i KNOW i only listed Intel motherboards, maybe that is a sign that i should go intel)

which is worth it which is not, I am lost! (and also need suggestion for a motherboard)! i am not a big fan of RGB, but wouldn't mind some, certainly don't hate it and also I would like nice case idea!

This makes absolutely no sense when you consider the 5600 sells for $185 and performs ~15-20% faster and uses the same motherboards.

Do you mean the i7 12700K or the i5 12600K? An i7 12600K does not exist so we need to know where the typo is.

You just listed the same motherboard twice for 2 different prices, no idea what the different boards you're considering are.

The 3070 Ti is ~15-20% faster, for that price difference I'd go for the 70Ti.

Anyway, I'll give you two different systems and the performance difference between them. They'll both be reasonably good builds but one will definitely be higher end than the other.

If you're doing any real work on the system, I'd aim for the second one. If you aren't, I'd go for the first (maybe putting the 3070 Ti in there) and put the remaining money towards a monitor upgrade.

$330 for a 12700K is a pretty good deal, I'd try to go for it. That said, I would not go for a DDR5 motherboard, the Alder Lake DDR5 memory controller is very hard to deal with, and getting any sort of respectable speeds out of it is very difficult. There are some situations where it makes sense, where bandwidth is the most important thing, but in gaming, the difference between the two is small enough that it's not worth the headaches and price bump of DDR5 to just say "I'm running DDR5," especially since in some games DDR4 does better because of it's much lower latency.

DDR4 Z690 motherboards do exist and some of them are pretty good. The MSI Z690-A Pro is a very good board for the price, it's got basically every feature you could want from Z690 (minus x8/x8 support) for $220 and a very solid VRM. If you aren't gonna overclock, you could also save money and go for a solid B660/H670 motherboard like the B660-A Pro and the B660 Gaming X since the features are similar enough and the boards are a bit cheaper.

Should I go Asus Tuf or Gigabyte for the 3070 Ti or it doesn't matter?
