Trying to setup a USB printer on the home network and getting error 0x00011b

Begmar

Hello everyone,

I've been trying for the last couple of hours to setup my parents's printer on their local network for ease of use but windows won't let me...

The printer is an Epson L3111 without wifi connectivity so I wanted to share it over the network through the computer it's plugged into via USB.

All the computers are on the latest W10 update, the network sharing parameters are all good as far as I can tell but every time I try to connect to the printer on the second computer I'm getting the 0x00011b error from windows.

I tried adding the REG KEY RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled (on both host and target computers) but it didn't change anything.

I don't understand how I can fix it and it's getting frustrating but I would like to avoid having to buy a printer server for 1 desktop and 3 laptops that are in the house...

If someone has any idea or solution

Thanks in advance
