Laptop stuck in “Preparing Automatic Repair” loop on the Asus screen

Hello. Today, when I opened my laptop it just booted on this screen (I’ll attach a photo below). Yesterday, when I last used it, everything was normal and no Windows updates were installed. No matter how many times I turn it off and on or how much I wait, nothing seems to change. Anybody got any idea on what may have caused this and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

What laptop do you have? If you don't tell us we dont know...

How long have you had it? Does your pc BIOS have system scanning tools? Some laptops have tools that look for errors in the HDD/SSD or other components. You would prob see a popup for the first few seconds when you power on your laptop.

My bad! My laptop is an Asus VivoBook Pro 15 N580VD. I can’t seem to find any tools like this in my BIOS. No popup, just boots on that screen.

If you interrupt boot 3 times in a row, (usually by holding the power button to force shutdown) you get taken to the recovery menu. From there you could try booting into safe mode and potentially uninstall updates.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Did that and nothing happened, still on that screen in the photo above.
