6950xt instead of 6900xt?

Hi Guys,

I have a "Problem".

In my System i have a 6900 XT Liquid Devil by Powercolor, an awesome card.

On vacation and maybe a little drunk saw the 6950 liquid devil at Mindfactory (german onlineshop), for 1449 € and bought it.

And no, this is no braging, i know it is a very first world problem.

I have seen used 6900 liquids go away for around 1300€.

Now the question: what card should I use?

I am really not sure.

Its the same card just clocked higher. I honestly would return the 6950XT and get my money back, otherwise its effectively spending €150 at best on a %6 factory overclock.

I say use the newest and sell the older one. its an improvement even if its small, and doesnt look like you are in a budget anyway.

First of all, great signature.

As far as i Know, the Memory is clocked higher to a degree, the normal 6900 cant reach.

you are right by a rational standpoint but i want to test the card at least 🤔

I dont build the machine to use it fully, i like overbuilding. 😬

This card would test my cooling in a new way.

Why do i have to make this stupid choice so difficult?

The 6950 XT, from what I've read, has less restrictions on power limits. Should be more fun to OC yourself, so personally I'd stick with that one.

For this tier of card, that doesn't really seem out of the ordinary

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
