Why is my geekbench so low?

It looks like you had a particularly bad result for the "Horizon Detection" test - other 1900X results in Linux score 10-20 times higher. So I'd try running the test again to see if you still get the same result there. It could be that some background process interfered or that your overclock isn't 100% stable.

I'd concur.  If your overclock isn't stable your CPU will be doing little error corrections while under load and your score will be effected.  What benchmark did you use to validate improvements while you incremented your clock speed?

Did you take a baseline score with stock settings first?

 With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

My 5900X scores around 1700/14000, so your single score score don't seem that amiss (first gen Ryzen weren't great at that) but the multicore one should be higher, at least 8000

Not sure where you're getting 8000 from.  My 10900K only scores 9881

 With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!
