RTX 3060 Stuttering/Dropping Frames With One Monitor Off

 Share

I have dual monitors with my RTX 3060 and at night when I want to watch YouTube/Netflix I will often turn my second monitor off to keep my room darker. When my second monitor is turned off my primary display starts lagging/stuttering like crazy, unless I tell Windows to only output to one display. I was wondering if anyone had a similar issue or could help me troubleshoot.

Instead of turning it off, try disabling using WinKey + P.

I already do this, but it is honestly a very annoying solution because it moves all of my applications to the one screen and then I have to rearrange everything.

Then put a fullscreen black image on the second monitor. I don't know what more to recommend.
