Most if not all motherboards nowadays have an integrated one.

With basically every motherboard built in the last 5 or more years you don't need a sound card.

make it 15, i never seen a motherboard without a soundcard. (except server mobo).

Nothing stops you from buying a separate one, if you think you're gonna use the features of a dedicated one.

But on medium to high end motherboards the integrated audio is very good quality already, so rarely need to use separate audio cards.
