Need to know why I lost video feed randomly and now I have it back

I use an LG tv for a PC monitor. I have an HDMI cord that goes from my video card to my TV. When I turned on my PC today and then my TV, I got no video input from my PC. The TV said it wasn't recieving any input. 

 

I checked the HDMI connections and they were fine. 

 

I then rebooted the PC by just pushing the power button on the PC case once to shut it down. I pressed the power button one more time to turn the PC back on and IMMEDIATELY I got video feed from my PC to my TV. 

 

WTF just happened? lol.
