Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Old 90s games, 4k movies, streaming, 1080p gaming such as: Terraria, Skyrim, Fallout, Empire at War, etc.

Other details: I prefer to stick with this case, I will not buy AMD, I am flexible on any other part reccomendations.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have. I might be cannibalizing my 2080ti out of the main rig for this project if it fits.

I'd update it to 12th gen because the performance uptick is pretty impressive, and you can fit the same tier CPU and a decent mobo in the same price:

Well, actually 7 cents more expensive, but I figure that's manageable.

You can choose a cheaper SFX psu and be well inside $1500.

I just like silverstone sfx psus.

Thank you for the input, however a 3070ti is way overkill for what i need from this build. I know it is in the budget but just not realistic for a 1080p terraria/emulator machine. And the 3060 will run 4k movies very well.

I think I will be going with 12th gen though as I can get the cpus discounted from work too. Thanks!
