Ubuntu 22.04 LTS - Not detecting second monitor

Hello,

I'm very new to Linux and not having luck finding answers to this question: why isn't the OS detecting my second monitor at all?

When I go to settings -> displays, no second monitor appears. Is there something I need to enable in order for the system to look for and detect a second monitor?

Connected via HDMI as that's the only port on my laptop.

Thanks if someone knows what they're doing on Linux...

Most likely you need to install the driver. Do you have Nvidia graphics?
