I just finished building my new pc and got windows installed, but now When i go to task manager it doesn't show my gpu in there, and when i try to change the resolution it doesn't let me change it from like 1000x 720 or something.

Install Nvidia GeForce Experience. Then install graphics drivers through that.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Well, the problem with that is i'm having trouble connecting to ethernet, From what i can tell is that some drivers aren't installed for that so i'm gonna try and install those on a  usb for that but not sure if that will work

If the issue is with driver updates then i gotta get the ethernet set up first but idk if there is anything i can do in BIOS?

You can also get the gpu drivers directly from the internet and transfer them using the usb.

If u need to download ethernet drivers, look at this

Is 8 gb enough for that lol? But if i could connect to the internet on my pc it would be much easier, so is there anyway for me to fix that? Cause i'm not exactly sure how to install those drivers for the network or something.

In the image is what i'm seeing through device manager

Sorry for the late response. If you haven't gotten this figured out yet, you can get the drivers from Asus' site.

https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z690-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_download

At that link, get the LAN and wireless drivers. Put them on the USB.

This link has the direct download for the most recent Nvidia drivers without having all the GeForce Experience stuff in the background.

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/188989/en-us

Put that on the USB as well. Turn on the computer that's having issues and install the drivers.

i mean this sounds like a botched windows install to me, i would just try again tbh. make sure to have an ethernet cable with a working internet connection plugged in tho as windows will download drivers as needed during installation/ through subsequent updates.

So i ended up resolving the issue, so far my pc is working just fine and it's recognizing everything, it's running a little more slowly than i expected but it'll probably be faster as i use it more often
