pc gets stuck on black screen for 20 seconds before login on m.2ssd

rig: rtx 3060ti ryzen 5 1600 (getting upgrade soon) 16gb of ddr4 3200mhz 1tb hard drive msi b450 tomahawk max and a m.2 ssd (512gb micron) i recently did a bios update so my mb can support a ryzen 5 5600 and ever since its been getting stuck on a black screen for 20-30 seconds before windows login i have tried everything in windows but i havent checked the bios i dont think it is the bios as its after post screen so idk what it is please comment how i can fix this

I would honestly start by just doing a reset of first the bios and then if that doesn't help the system. This is such a weird issue to diagnose that it would probably take less time to just wipe everything. 

 

It does sound like a bios issue to me though...have you ever tinkered, overclocked or whatever else? Messed with fast startup, boot sequences,...that kinda thing?

Have you tried default settings? 

 

Problem is, it could be a bunch of things. So you kinda have to go through a process of elimination. If it starts in the same weird way on default, then it shouldn't be the bios.

ok i have an msi motherboard and im not sure how to reset settings to default

Do you know how to get into the bios? There is usually a "Save and Exit" part and there you can load default settings or whatever it is called on your board. You could also just look that up in the manual, it should have that somewhere. there are even two contacts on your board you can short and clear cmos that way, meaning all settings will go to default.
