Hi all,

My GPU which i only got a few weeks ago running at nearly max fan speed when playing Apex legends. This only occurs every few days and will also do it randomly for a few seconds when i have the game running in the background. Temps do not exceed 70 degrees. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Specs:

GPU: Asus Dual OC 6600 xt

CPU: i5 11400

RAM: 16gb Corsair LPX 3200 cl 16 using xmp at 3200 mhz

Motherboard: Asrock B560m Pro 4 a/c

PSU: Corsair CX550M

OS: Windows 10 Education

SSD: Crucial P2 500gb

But there should be no reason for them to be running that high. Every other time the fans run at about 35% in game which keeps the temp fine. But constant 80% is completely overkill and extremely loud.

Sounds like the default software is doing what its supposed to. Download a program and force them to run lower under load and see how that works out for you.

why would u recommend touching it physically without any probable cause?

i suggest opening monitoring software like HWinfo64 (not sure how good it is on AMD GPU) and see if anything seems off

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
