Oh also it may just be my datahoarder nature and this may not apply to everyone, but you might want in addition to that NVME a SATA hard drive or SSD of 2-4tb for files, other programs, etc.

yeah storage is something i will probably upgrade at some point

Luckily that's an easy upgrade down the line. I recommend getting a 2 tb or so HDD hardrive off of something like Amazon. Personally I store all the things I use often on my NVME SSD and all of my games that take up a lot of storage on a HDD. (cough cough Call of Duty)

Yeah that's why im "investing" in the harder things to upgrade at the start cause its easier to upgrade storage or ram than a gpu or cpu

If you are just gaming, the i5 12400f makes more sense. Put the savings towards a better gpu.
