hp pavilion aero 13 Speakers and headphone jack not working

Hi guys, I just got this new laptop that's fantastic but has 1 big issue which is that the audio on the device doesn't seem to work. I've tried installing the latest drivers from hp's website or even Realtek's website but the problem persists.

The speakers and headphone jack are recognized but both of them aren't functioning with a weird glitch that happens constantly. I've also tried running windows audio troubleshooter, using an Ubuntu flash drive to see if it would work on another OS but the issue is still there.

Do you guys have any possible solutions? Would really appreciate the help

I have run into a similar problem before and it turned out to be the jack was like 90% of the way in and I just had to give 'er a little more.

 

Have you fully uninstalled the drivers and then reinstalled?

 

If all else fails, do HP support chat [not fb messenger] (your best bet for an eventual warranty claim if it comes to that, be assertive but kind) and submit a warranty claim if support cannot fix.
