Dan Case A4 v4 - optimize for air or try the 92mm aio route?

mapegl

So my LTT-friends, it is time to try something. My brother is getting rid of his Dan Case and before it leaves us, I want to test it and fifure out if I might want it. It looks great and I do sometimes need portability, so that is why I am highly interested.

TLDR: How should I cool my system: Ryzen 3600 and an RTX 3060, just the CPU cooler is in question

Long version: I have access to the Blackridge and NH-L9a (my brother owns both), but I have no idea how they will perform. Due to the difficulty of building in this case, I would love some input.
Also, I am very much interested in watercooling this thing. Despite the fact that I do't find watercooling very practical in general (huuuuuuge air-cooling fan here), I do appreciate the fact that optimum tech was able to get some very impressive temps. In addition to that, I was thinking about adding a second fan under the motherboard (if that is even possible) and then just exhaust everything out the bottom. That should keep the VRMs from overheating...

Thoughts? 😉

I mean the CPU. I won't touch the RTX 3060, that thing is pretty cool as is.

And the stock cpu cooler won't fit. 😉

If you take the shroud off they are supposed to actually fit.
