Is there a decently affordable 4k that's better than my TLC??

I've had a cheap TLC 4k tv for quite a while. I just recently got a 4k UHD blue ray player and a highspeed hdmi cord. I don't know if it's just the panel or the refresh rate on the TV but I feel it should probably look better than it does. I'd like to get a better TV but one that won't destroy my bank account like 4-5 hundred price range? Any Suggestions would be appreciated please and thank you!

$400 or $500 for an OLED? No.

 

This LG A1 is $800, though I highly doubt it'll do 120Hz with HDMI 2.1, if that matters.
