Is my PSU good enough?

Shinra

I want to upgrade to an 6700 xt and u know the recommanded psu is 650w, but i am still worried that my Corsair CV650 won't be enough for it.

Am i just paranoid and it'll be okay or will there be problems?

Ryzen 5 3600 oc'd 4.4 ghz 1.37 volts

32gb HyperX ram

ASUS TUF B550M-plus

ROG STRIX 1060 OC (for now)

250gb samsung 970 evo

2x 7.2k rpm Baracuda HDD's

Just now, Rombo said:

Most gpu manufactures over state the power requirements but if you want to make sure use this tool and enter your specs https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator and it will tell you the recommend watts you need.

These calculators are crap and should not be trusted.

As for op the cv650 is a lower quality unit and I would not use it for a build like this. A high quality unit like a msi mpg, enermax d.f. or corsair rmx 650w or greater I would have no trouble with recommending to use it for these systems.

You are probably fine with power supply for your typical use. If you ran Furmark and Prime95 24 hours over a month it might be to stressful the power supply.
