Why are some GPUs overpriced on Ebay such as the RTX 3060 Ventus 2x for second hand up to £440 when there are new stock for cheaper for example on CCL Computers and Scan.co.uk??

Because there is an endless supply of dumb people in the world that would happily pay more for less.

 

That, and the scalpers probably bought them before prices dropped and are hoping to recoup their costs.

many times sellers on ebay aren't industry professonals.  they see that an item is selling for a certain amount on ebay, so they sell it for that same price.  They mill eventually come down to a more normal price, but it'll take time.

Because the various GPU markets are insanely volatile right now, and those used sellers haven't caught up to the new prices. Give the market a few weeks to correct, and the used prices will drop below the new prices. That is, unless new prices continue to drop at their current rate, in which case the volatility will continue until the market conditions improve.

Scalper market inertia is going to take a while to die down. As long as people think GPUs are unobtainium, they'll overpay for them secondhand even when they're actually in stock.

Scalpers will have bought them for more, and will be trying to minimize their losses hoping that some people didn't check store prices and see that they've gone down.
