Issue using an old router as a Wireless Bridge - TP-LINK

Hi Everyone,

 

I swear... routers hate me! Am attempting to use an old TP-LINK AC1750 Archer D7 router as a Wireless Bridge and followed these steps here: http://blog.jeffcosta.com/2011/09/29/create-a-wireless-n-bridge-with-2-inexpensive-tp-link-routers/. Credits to the author as their instructions were simple and easy to follow; the only thing is once I try to connect to the Archer D7 on my phone or any PC is that it can't find an IP address.

 

When it comes to internet hardware and software, I'm completely lost! Can anyone help as to why after following these instructions that the IP address can't be found?
