Is it posible to use older version of hyper-v on newer windows?

I have a old server that runs windows server 2019 and want to run hyper-v but i cant becaz the cpu doesnt support slat. is it possible to install a version of hyper-v like from windows server 2008 R2?

What CPU is it? Usually if it doesn't support SLAT it won't actually have any virtualization support at all.

Yep this seems to be one of the few that do support VT-x but not SLAT.

 

Anyway I'm not aware of it being possible to use a hyper-v build that doesn't match the OS version, so you'll likely have to run server 2008 or something closer to that hardware's era that will allow it.
