5800X3D undervolted = same performance but cooler temps?

Performance shouldn't change, apart from when you're thermal throttled as thermals are lower. All you're changing is how much power is sent to the CPU, while clock speeds stay the same.

Yeah, it definitely sounds interesting, the Power Consumption is impressive for 8 Cores

I just tried to undervolt to play around a bit, unfortunately my motherboard (MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus) doesnt allow any changes to this processor... can't even change the core voltage. So... maybe one day.
