Adding a pitch black dark mode

Guest

Hello,

In my opinion adding a pitch black dark mode as an option alongside the regular dark mode is a good idea.

Pitch black dark mode looks better than the current mode which looks very gray.

Thanks

There are user themes done with browser addons. For mobile, nope. The amount of members browsing mainly or purely on mobile is still small.

Previous threads on this subject have assumed that its Mortis doing all the work though. So now maybe, with Floatplane staff and their budget behind it, might just get that third theme. Or they make it only Comic Sans.

Just use a CRT on LTT forums. It looks like you're staring into text floating over an endless void.

I see you love working with DOS then huh?

Windows can also do this if you use the high contrast  theme

tbh neither of those modes are great, not because its too dark (0/0/0 is literally the best color for backgrounds)  but the other colors get changed/  darkened too, which is weird (imo) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You can use Dark reader on mobile Firefox and on PC (chrome, firefox etc)

Its possible to set contrast and brightness of the page

i honestly really bloody hate the grey dark modes. they infinitely suck. there's really no reason to pick grey over black and i blame windows for this design trend by making black taskbars require Registry edits.
