-CANADA- Can I make this HTPC build cheaper ?

Hey guys, 

 

I'm planning to build a cheap XBMC PC. It will be only used for XBMC. 

 

Please have a look at the parts: 

 

AMD A6-6400K ----  $66

 

Asus A55M-E FM2 Motherboard ---  $66

 

Kingston HyperX 4GB ---- $41

 

Antec Vsk 3000e ---- $26

 

Corsair CX Series CX430 ---- $25

 

WD Blue 500 GB Desktop Hard Drive ---- $54

 

Total = 278

 

I really can't exceed my budget which is $220  :(

 

Is there any way I can shrink the price to 220?

Try and find a free HDD from a old PC to take of the $50 that the HDD would cost. That should put you right at your budget.

My Current Build:

Maybe knock your hdd to a 250 ish
