I have a coworker who's looking to sell their TV mentioned in the title for $1000, used but flawless condition as far as I can tell. It's a 2020 model, but as far as I know, this TV was positioned at the mid-upper range of TVs. What do you guys think? Is that a decent price?

So, it's not a horrible price, but it's certainly not a good deal for a used TV of this kind, even if it's in "flawless" condition.

Brand new, you can buy a Samsung Q80A 65" for $1200 USD - so you're only getting $200 off, and it won't have the factory warranty anymore.

I'd probably see if he'll do $800 instead?

You can find these types of TV's on sale even more aggressively during sales like Black Friday, etc, for probably $1000 or less, if you're willing to wait for them.

Couldn't you buy a new one for around that price? but I guess this one is maybe around 1500 dollars.

Could be decent if there is no issues, and if you want to spend that amount of money or more. or getting something cheaper. You do have some TCL that got mini-led for around that price, but not always the best color or so, but could be something to look into if you want that with HDR or OLED TV for best colors.

If you're in the US, TV's should be at, near, or below Black Friday prices with the SuperBowl coming up.

At $1k though, why not go smaller and OLED? Or bump up the price and go for a 65" OLED. Unless you're in a super bright room, in which case QLED is probably your best bet.

Though, according to RTings, the Q80T isn't too much brighter than the C1 OLED.
