Can I use 3080 temporarily with 500w PSU?

e22big

So I've upgraded to 12700K with my 3080 and give my old computer (4770 CPU) to my mom who use it with a 500w PSU. However, I just have some idea I want to try my 3080 on the new vs old system. Is safe to just rip off the 3080 from mine and put it back in my (now-mom) systen? Just for running benchmark for a few hours?

Don't think it's a good idea. What's the brand and model of the PSU?

Cheap ass Antec Atom, yeah it really doesn't sound like a good idea

Non OC 3080 is 320w, add the CPU for up to 150W, some power to the drives etc you'll be over 500w, so it's a bit dangerous...
