Wanted: router and modem or combo

I am moving and I need a cable modem (Xfinity coax compatible) and a router or a combination unit.

2300 ft^2 house and currently planning for 600Mbps download. Looking to spend less than $400 total.

Doesn't your ISP provide you with one and/or have a list with compatible modems?

Combos suck. Xfinity has a list of compatible equipment, I’d start there. I personally use the CM1000, it’s a standard cable modem with no router built in. I use the Synology RT2600AC as my router. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
