anyway to get a "Lag Free" 4k wireless connection to a monitor

Working

Hi,

I'm thinking about one way of solving my issue with my MBP overheating when connected to any external monitor is to see if I can get my display onto a monitor wirelessly.

There is a microsoft wireless display adaptor but I'm wondering if there is anything else. I want a 4k out put at 60hz. I know it's a lot but trying to see if this is possible.

Thank you for any guidance and help

The raw, uncompressed, bandwidth requirement of 4K @ 60 Hz is 12.54 Gbps. It should be clear you won't get this across any typical home grade network connection (e.g. even 10 Gig wired is not enough).

This means it requires a fair amount of compression, which will reduce quality and introduce a certain amount of lag.
