How to Login as a Domain User on MacOS?

We've got a Mac that seems to have been successfully added to our AD Domain, but I can't figure out how to actually login with a domain user. 

I've tried Googling, but every article I've found explains how to join to the domain (which I've already done), but not how to actually login after joining the domain.

 

As of now, I can only login with the local admin account that I created. 

I changed Login Settings to prompt for username and password instead of the default list of accounts/photos and password, but can't actually get a login to work. 

I've tried:

 

domain\domainuser

domain/domainuser

domain.local\domainuser

domainuser@domain.com

 

Nothing seems to work.

I'm sure there is probably something simple that I'm missing here but I just can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone assist?

Have you tried deleting the Mac from your domain controller and rejoining? It sounds like the computer may not have successfully joined AD. It should be DOMAIN.local\user assuming it has successfully joined the domain. Refer to these directions and make sure you didn't miss any steps.
