M.2 SATA SSD not recognized...

so i just upgraded my cpu motherboard ram and storage and have a 500GB WD Blue 3D NAND Sata SSD m.2 2280 which I was going to install Windows 11 on. 

 

The thing is this m2 has two notches and the notherboard has only 1. It goes in fully but for some reason its not being detected not even in BIOS.

 

according to the motherboard support list  Gigabyte (H410M S2H V3)

The WD is supported! but i cant for the life of me get it to show up..

It doesn't list SATA M.2 drives explicitly, which leads me to believe this board only supports NVMe on the M.2 slot.

 

EDIT: See QVL for M.2 drives; no SATA drives listed.

oh no.. what do I do ? cant return it as its opened now. 😕

 

is there a way or an adapter or anything to not get it go to waste ?

Generally, you can return opened items (excluding media, for obvious reasons). Where did you buy it from?

You can get adapters to convert to a normal SATA SSD.
