No signal after about 10 sec.

lilputman

So I recently put on a AIO waterblock on my Nvidia RTX 2070 super founders edition. I plugged it in made sure the pump was plugged in and I turned on the system and the screen was working for about 10 seconds and it went black "no signal". My motherboard isn't showing any error codes either. I plugged in the fans and they went full speed as soon as I turned it on. Any ideas??

Hi @lilputman

Did your GPU worked fine before water-cooling?

Did you update Win10?  at the same time?

Maybe at the same time you started to use headphones with usb connection?

Who dismounted/put together GPU?

The black screen is quite popular problem  - there are quite a lot of issues and not so many solutions.

p.s.

I am dealing with black screen problem for myself.

Kind regards,

Okutida

It was working fine when I turned everything off. I did it myself. Ive disassembled a couple of GPUs and they worked perfectly fine. I have a LED light on my mobo that has VGA next to it. I'm guessing my GPU is garbage??

Hi @lilputman

And it is water cooling...

It is harded to take it off and try on another computer.

Well, try to put your fans back and try gpu then on different PC if its possible.

There can be a litle chance thatyou uoverscrewed it - screws are to tight, but it is a 1% hope.

I added more thermal paste to the dye and it booted up and I'm on Minecraft now. BUT my temps are higher now then they were with the stock dual fans. I don't understand that. But it's working. Hope you get yours fixed.
