5600x id say or 12600k for the "new" cpus, but honestly a 3600x would do fine too as well as anything from 8700k and above.

Not true a 5650x at 4.5ghz cannot hold 60fps stable in games anymore and things like a ryzen 3500x, i5 8400, i5 9600,... basically all PURE 6 cores (so 6cores/6 threads the ones without hyperthreading) already struggle with gaming.

Right i forgot about the damn non hyperthreaded 6 cores

 

Guess its prob any hyperthreaded 6 core or more from x79 onward

Also add a disclaimer that this is only true for desktop ones as well lots of slow 6 core xeons :p.

For the earlier 6 core cpus (x79/x99) are ok if 4ghz+ but the later ones already clock high and have good ipc
