Homelab Upgrade - ECC Question

LIGISTX

I am planning to upgrade my homelab with a SUPERMICRO X10SRA and a Xeon E5 2650 V4.

Just want to make sure no one knows of any reason this RAM wouldn't work with it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/234372146226?hash=item3691ab2432:g:X7IAAOSwmTRhdcRi

I mean, it's not on the QVL, but Supermicro QVLs are usually extremely barebones. I would feel comfortable buying that RAM for that particular board and CPU.

Yea, the QVL has 4 16 GB modules on it.... so its pretty hard to figure out. But I think it would work.

The QVL in general has something like 20 different modules in general rated for it. From what I can tell they only QVL the memory they use when selling the board in a whole server/workstation. I love Supermicro boards and everything, they are some of the best server boards I've used with a BIOS laid out better than a lot of consumer boards IMO, but man do they have some quirks with the documentation.

Ya..... I am in the same boat. I wouldn't buy a server/workstation board from anyone but them, but I never know if RAM will be compatible. But... the speed is correct, they are standard RDIMMS, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
