Should I be upgrading the Stock Case Fans and maybe stock AIO fans to Noctua NF-A14 140mm?

Stock case fans maybe, but replacing the AIO's fans will definitely be deep in the diminishing return territory. That means spending a lot for minor improvement.

Hello!

Currently running this system:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Prosessor
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, S-AM4

Cooling: ASUS ROG Strix LC 360 RGB CPU Kjøler
Video Card: ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 ROG Strix
Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2

 

Also my screen is 1440p and 240hz

So when I am running for example Apex Legends on 1440p and decently high settings cause I love having nice graphics. I get pretty high RPM on my stock fans. Like I can hear it through my headset.

So currently I am highly considering to upgrade (mainly) Stock Case fans to Noctua NF-A14 140mm. My case has theoretically room for 9 140mm fans. If I were to replace the 6 stock fans it would cost me about 240 euros, which for me is almost worth the downgrade on average decibels.

My current fan settings are 2 front (inn), 3 on top (out) and 1 back (out).

 

I am terrible at posting stuff on formus, but to sum up my question:

- Is it worth investing in the Noctua fans?

- If you know / think or whatever that a different fan is better please come with recommendations.

They're not bad, but there are definitely other options. You'll really have to dive deep to find which one you want to use, but here's a pretty good more recent video:

It's also important to figure out what path you want the air to take. Simply adding tons of fans to the case can actually cause it to perform worse.

As for worth, you are the only one that can answer that. It's your money.

The only reason you'd do that is because you like the color brown, and you're looking to reduce noise, that's really about it.
