Lenovo Legion s7 missing hinge pin?

I have been using my new lenovo legion s7 for a little over a week now and just noticed that the left hinge appers to be missing a pin. On the right hinge the the laptop is connected to the screen on both sides while on the left hinge the hinge appers to only be connected to the screen on the right side of the hinge. In the attached picture it's a little hard to make out, but nothing seems to be between the hinge and the screen. Is this a product defect or an intentional design choice?

Most laptops are only connected on one side of the hinge. The bridge your likely seeing on the other side probably houses a additional/extended wire passthrough.

Thanks. Weird that Lenovo would do this. Would think that the structural integrity of the display would be better if they connected the hinge.
