Not worth it. Even a old Xeon or i5 will crush it, Using 2 cores for anything else than doing web browsing (it might even struggle at that) is not worth it.

 

And you buy an a old Xeon like a E3 1231 v3 (which is basically a i7 4770) for far cheaper in the used market. Buy some cheap DDR3 and a H81 board and now you have a machine far more capable than this celeron ever could.

No hyperthreading even, probably worth spending 40-50 euros more for the i3 12100F. Seems okay for an HTPC sort of thing though, iGPU is handy, but for that purpose I'd rather get bottom end AM4 stuff, boards are half the price...

A G6900? Nice. But yeah, it's a terrible value. Unless this is the chip that was hitting 5.7ghz through base clock overclocking, in which case: it's an okayish value instead of a terrible value.

You'd be much better off with a 4th gen i7, which would cost about the same.  And the board and RAM would also be cheaper.
