Intel Haswell refresh official pricelist published

Hawx

Intel has added its Haswell refresh processors to the official desktop and mobile price lists. In all there are 26 new desktop processors and 17 aimed at mobile computers. From previous reports we expect these new chips to become purchasable in early May.

The refresh doesn't really bring anything new to the table but offers users, in general, slightly faster processors at the same price as their 2013 Haswell predecessors. Yes, as a refresh these are replacements rather than additions to the Haswell chip portfolio. Many of the 43 new chips in the official price listings offer about 100MHz greater clock speed.

Damnit! Now I gotta get used to ANOTHER naming scheme.....

EDIT: For people wondering where the K-series chips are, see below:

It is noteworthy that at present Intel’s price-list does not include Core and Pentium microprocessors with unlocked multiplier that are known under the “Devil’s Canyon” code-name. The latter will feature improved thermal interface, which will enable better overclocking, something that will clearly make them popular among enthusiasts. The “Devil’s Canyon” microprocessors will become available starting the 10th of May, 2014. The chips will only be compatible with platforms based on Intel 9-series core-logic sets.

4770 non K.

So only base clock refreshes on the locked processors from the Haswell series?

No K suffix would indicate no overclock series, but they could have simply dropped the naming scheme.

At 3.2 GHz? I doubt it.

S and T suffixes mean low power consumption and even lower power consumption respectively.

I've updated the OP with info on the K-series. Will come with support for 9-series chipset so we have to wait until those motherboards start coming out.

I haven't bought my new processor yet, but i'm still going for the I5 4670K since it's unlocked, and the 100 mhz increase on the I5 4690 (locked) it's not appealing to me. I will not be waiting for the unlocked K series, because it will only be compatible with the intel 9 series motherboards, and i just bought an Z87 motherboard.

I believe that the Z87 motherboards had to time to mature and are a lot more stable to overclock, so i will not be upgrading to an intel 9 chipset series motherboard.

To be honest I haven't found any reason to upgrade my CPU for quite some time. I am still using my i7 2600 (non K) which does everything really fast. Unless Intel comes out with at least a 6 core 12 thread CPU that can overclock I won't be upgrading. I am getting really bored with only having 4 cores I really want more. AMD cores are weak source which is why I haven't gone AMD plus Intel CPU's are just better in pretty much every way for gaming unless you actually use onboard graphics (but who on earth does). If Intel can pull off more cores that are not weaker than I will be very happy.
