Edit: you mentioned psychological drama, try Kokoro Connect, Wolf's Rain, Mirai Nikki (?), Psycho-Pass.

It was discontinued on tv, most likely for lack of translations(it was a while ago, i was like 10)

Just learned that Baka went private a few weeks back, and I had thought to make an account too...

Not sure if relevant to the anime club, but I just found out Nyaa.se is down and the domain itself has been scheduled for deletion(whois). This will make it slightly harder for those of us who want to download stuff, like anime, from Japan instead of Streaming it on Crunchyroll and the likes. (plenty of alternatives though)

It's been downed before but I've never heard of the domain being scheduled for deletion... that's horrible news....

It may come back later under a different domain, who knows. Unless the servers were raided and the people in charge arrested.

I've also never heard of a domain being deleted outright like this. Right now it's "deactivated", it will be "deleted" in June and "released" in July.

And to think that I started refreshing my collection just about 3 days ago. I had planned to dl many many more than the pitiful 100 or so that I did at sunday. Now I can`t do s**t.

Still I can live through this. I have already stashed more than enough, but it will never be the same... At least for me.

Toshokan is not nearly as good (and also down right now).

Baka BT does not get new shows as they air (and it's down right now).

Doki's own tracker is very dead except their own releases.

The alternative that Technology set up is only a partial restoration and does not allow for uploads yet.

 

XDCC can be used but it's not nearly as convenient.

 

I am a bit worried that this will split the "community" too. So that there won't be any centralized site where you can just always go and find stuff. Searching multiple sites is a pain in the ass.

Well sure I can't think of a "single" alternative that did the same thing as Nyaa, as in Anime, Games, Drama, JAV, etc... But if all you want is anime and Tokyotosho isn't working (as is usual lately), there's always AnimeTosho. You can also get them straight from the source, like HorribleSubs which are rips of Crunchyroll/others. Or places like AniDex. There's also plenty of websites to download games, JAV, ero manga, etc... out there. Now that Nyaa is dead, I wouldn't be surprised if an alternative or two would just popup.
