audio Headset problem, Mic mutes audio output

I just got new headphones, the cougar`s phontum pro prix headset (usb connection) 

the problem... when im using the mic all audio gets muted, i cant use the mic and hear sound at the same time from the headphones

using the mic pauses youtube videos, music, video files etc...

the mic works fine but, whats the point if i cant hear other people XD and even the game LOL

If you have driver software for it there might be a software setting doing it. It might be called "ducking". If you've got a setting to monitor your mic that also might be causing the volume to drop when you are using the mic.

thz for the answer, yes, theres a program, cougar UIX but for the mic theres only one option (environmental noise cancellation ON or OFF) nothing else for the mic.

 

im kinda sad XD the headset was a birthday gift and i cant use it properly...
