Aorus Master X570 M.2 placement

DfsOutlier

I have the Aorus Master X570 and a 3080 Ti that takes up 2,7 slots. My question is the M.2 placement. I have one 980 pro in M2A socket. Just bought a second M.2 980 pro and not sure if I should put it in M2B socket which is under the graphics card or M2C socket. If I use M2C socket I lose SATA 3, 4, and 5 (Also not sure which SATA lanes are which and I only need 2 SATA lanes)

I know that all 3 sockets are Gen 4. Socket A and B are are CPU and socket C is chipset. My question is, is having M.2 in socket B under the graphics card going to raise the temp enough to worry about it?  I canan use Socket C off chipset and sacrifice SATA 3,4 and 5 because I am only using 2 SATA lanes. Socket C will not be under a graphics card, Main concern is Temps.

The top most slot generally has the 4 dedicated PCIE Lanes.  Any other slots are usually shared with the chipset.

You can  use whatever slot(s) you want, it won't make much difference.
