Can i install an extra fan/s as intake over the psu shroud ? (for gpu cooling)

As the title says oh and here a few pics of my current case (meshify 2 compact)

oh and buy recommends for shorter gpu/psu cabels would be great (i know of topic- fractal ion 760w)

I wouldn't bother with fans over the PSU, they'll just move existing air in the case.  Can't see them bringing in cool air from the outside all that well.

Can't you bundle the cables behind the motherboard?   Or under the PSU shroud?  I don't know that case very well but my Fractal R6 has great room for that, not sure how the Compact was laid out.

Nah, won't help really.

Although your setup seems to give your GPU really solid airflow already.

Just bundle excess cable up under the shroud so you don't see it. That's what the PSU shroud is for.

but would they disturb the airflow ? (create something like trapped heat?) i have to top fans as intake (i know but i tried it them as exhasut which resulted in slightly highter temps so ...). unforuntaly i cant bundle the cable behind/under the shoud because i have no space left there actually thats why i am looking for cable replacements that are shorter to reduce the leftover cabel mass. also these are two pcie cabels because i plan (if i ever get lucky) for a gpu upgrade to maybe a 3070-3080 because the 3060 even oc with 175core 1000mem just cant keep up with a 4k display... (stupid me i should have bought a 1440p one but though hey this refurbished benq is cheep and i can 2k with maybe 4k in the future not knowing of the scaling issues at that time)

A plethora of cables can mess with airflow, but not trapped heat.  I mean, they aren't creating little cubbies or niches.  Air just has to flow around them, instead of unobstructed.

3060 for 4k?  Uhm, oops 🙂 Spending UP TO 4k just sounds expensive.  Maybe spend DOWN TO 1440p and lose the 4k display, or scale down?

I am not a fan of your airflow as you state it.  Yes, you'll have higher temps with an AIO as exhaust because warmer air flows thru it from in the case. But how hot are we talking?  There are tradeoffs with everything.  If you're slightly higher on the CPU but it's still at a good temp... all is well.

i know i didnt plan to go 4k from the start but i wanted 2k and when i found a "cheap" 2k/4k monitor i tough well 2k now and maybe 4k in older games or somewhere down the line. i didnt know that because of scaling non native res looks like c***.

and what do you mean ? i dont have any watercooling in there (but i am planning to go 360 maybe to get the 10850k 4,8allcore) to get temps better under control.(i had 4,9 but stresstesting temps where at package at 95 sometimes more so i dialed it down to 4,8 and gained 10c with air- iknow have with 4,8 package at max 85 with cine 81/82)

The fans on the top of your chassis are facing the wrong way. That's a positive pressure setup with 5 intake fans and 1 exhaust (assuming at least the fan at the rear is proper). The hot air needs some way to escape, otherwise you're just blowing it around.

Sorry, thought that was an AIO on top.

I'd still go top exhaust for airflow.   I understand how cool air from the top directly to the CPU Cooler can help, but it doesn't allow for air to escape the case properly.  You may be increasing other components temps as a result.

What are your GPU temps with top intake and exhaust?

rear is exhaust and like i already posted i tried it the "proper" way but temps actually got higher so i leave them like that. maybe i revisit them when i upgrade the 3 fronts to an aio but thats futuretalk

At the end of the day, whichever setup makes you happy with your temps is perfectly fine. 🙂

There should be plenty of space for cables. Ribbon cables fold very compactly.

what is the gpu? what are the temps?

imo you can add fans on the top of the psu shroud should help the gpu.  if anything it will help push the gpu hot air up and out. instead of being trapped and re sucked back in the gpu. the top fans are not really needed. top as intake as get more air to the cpu cooler and blows across the vrms but could blow the hot air form the cpu cooler down at the gpu instead out the back fan. the back fan is needed for gpu exhaust.   but that imo.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx
